{"id":628,"date":"2011-10-15T09:03:29","date_gmt":"2011-10-15T19:03:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mymonkeydo.com\/?p=628"},"modified":"2020-05-03T16:32:06","modified_gmt":"2020-05-04T02:32:06","slug":"new-ios-5-apps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mymonkeydo.com\/new-ios-5-apps\/","title":{"rendered":"New iOS 5 Apps"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Find My Friends<\/h2>\n<p>This is an app I wanted to do for a while, but never got around to actually doing it. \u00a0The app lets you find your friends on a map. \u00a0You can request to temporarily or permanently follow a friend. \u00a0Once your friend accepts, you can see where they are. \u00a0A benefit of this for me is if someone is coming to pick me up or we are both at a large crowded event, we can spot each other. \u00a0In my one day of using this however, the location of my friend and sometimes myself is not very accurate. \u00a0In a matter of minutes, my friend jumped from one house to another to an onramp. \u00a0Find My Friends is available in the App Store for the iOS 5.<\/p>\n<p>One feature I would like to see in this app is an alert function. \u00a0So if a friend were coming to pick me up, I could set an alarm to trigger when my friend is within a certain area.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Cards<\/h2>\n<p>This is a pretty cool app where you can create you own cards with a personal message and a photo. \u00a0Once you enter your apple id you can pay $2.99 in the US which includes the postage and the card will be physically sent. \u00a0Cards is available in the App Store for the iOS 5.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_genesis_hide_title":false,"_genesis_hide_breadcrumbs":false,"_genesis_hide_singular_image":false,"_genesis_hide_footer_widgets":false,"_genesis_custom_body_class":"","_genesis_custom_post_class":"","_genesis_layout":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[5],"tags":[10,38],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v22.3 -
