Since Safari 3.x, you can now have a firebug-like tool in Safari. \u00a0Either open terminal and copy-paste the line below or edit the plist file here\u00a0~\/Library\/Preferences\/com.apple.Safai.plist.<\/p>\n
defaults write com.apple.Safari WebKitDeveloperExtras -bool true<\/strong><\/pre>\nMost websites stop there saying “you should now be able to right click and see the ‘Inspect Element’ in any contextual menu”. \u00a0Well, I didn’t. \u00a0I had to show the developer menu. \u00a0Here’s how to show the developer menu straight from Safari help:<\/p>\n
open Safari preferences, click Advanced, and select \u201cShow Develop menu in menu bar.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n
Once you do that you should be able to see “Inspect Element” in the right click menu.<\/p>\n
